Fire & Safety Officer / Assistant Manager – Safety, EHS (Chemical)

Safety Management

• Implement, monitor, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections across chemical manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Observe unsafe conditions and issue permits to work as required.

Incident & Emergency Management

• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents to identify root causes.
• Implement corrective and preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and execute emergency response plans including fire safety, chemical spill management, and evacuation procedures.
• Conduct mock drills and evaluate their effectiveness.

Training & Awareness

• Conduct safety training sessions for lab operators, engineering staff, and other employees.
• Lead tool box talks, safety awareness programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
