Fico Blaze Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain business rules, scorecards, and decision flows using FICO Blaze Advisor.
• Translate business requirements into decision tables, trees, and rule flows within Blaze.
• Collaborate with risk and business teams to implement rule logic based on credit policies and compliance standards.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Optimize rules and maintain performance of Blaze deployments in production environments.
• Integrate Blaze Advisor with external systems via APIs, web services, or batch jobs.
• Maintain proper documentation of rules logic, rule versions, and technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to Blaze logic or integration failures.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to software development best practices.
• Work in Agile/Scrum environments to deliver high-quality decisioning solutions on time.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3–8 years of experience in software development, with at least 2–5 years of hands-on experience in FICO Blaze Advisor.
• Proficient in Java, J2EE, XML, and SOAP/REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of decisioning systems, credit risk management, or loan origination platforms.
• Experience integrating Blaze with core banking systems, LOS, or fraud detection platforms.
• Good understanding of rule management concepts, versioning, and governance.
