Operational management- Manage all Fiber related delivery in the designated market/area. Formulate strategy and ensure all deliveries are completed. Align with stakeholders to get timely forecast and augment team accordingly. Have governance matrix in place, have daily stand-up, weekly/monthly meetings internal or external stakeholders. Ensure contractual KPIS are meeting the target.
Process management- Evaluate the existing process and work on it to improve it further which brings in efficiency, high quality and on time performance.
People management- Work closely with the team, tracking performance evaluation, training, motivate the team, provide leadership, vision to the team.
Engineering Quality Focus- Oversees quality metrices, best practices. Provides deep expertise for engineering strategy and implementation. Uses deep technology expertise and market best practices to enable teams to deliver quality solutions. Promotes a culture of quality and ensures that team standards are consistent with the overall solution.
The role requires independent judgment, evaluation and application of techniques and procedures to complex problems. The manager should be able to undertake complex OSP design tasks and should be able to take the lead and supervisory role over a project of team of Engineers.
Significant proficiency/In-depth knowledge in the domain (Technology and products).
Previous experience in leading tasks or mentoring engineers
10+ Years of experience in Fiber network design engineering for an OSP/ISP
Preferred experience with AT&T and added advantage if any experience of LUMEN, Google Fiber etc.
Experience in Fiber (OSP/ISP) network through work on at least one of the following areas: design, drafting, permitting, traffic control plan , pole load analysis, JPA.
Experience working tools: Aramis, AutoCad, QGIS, IQGEO, ArcGIS, Waldo, Osmose O-calc
