Job Description

About the Role:

The Female Warden will be responsible for ensuring the welfare, safety, and discipline of female athletes and Staff residing in the hostel. The role involves managing daily hostel operations, maintaining a positive living environment, and addressing any concerns that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

Hostel Management:

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the hostel.
  • Ensure that hostel rules and regulations are followed by all residents.
  • Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the hostel premises.

Safety and Welfare:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all female athletes residing in the hostel.
  • Address any medical emergencies or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain records of attendance and monitor the movement of athletes in and out of the hostel.

Discipline and Guidance:

  • Enforce discipline and resolve conflicts among residents in a fair and timely manner.
  • Provide guidance and support to athletes in dealing with personal or professional challenges.
  • Ensure that the hostel remains a peaceful and supportive environment for all.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the hostel residents and the management.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding any concerns related to the athletes.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping, security, and medical, to ensure the smooth running of the hostel.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of residents, including emergency contacts and medical information.
  • Report any issues related to maintenance, supplies, or safety to the management.
  • Prepare reports on hostel activities, incidents, and feedback for management review.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in any discipline (preferred but not required).
  • Prior experience working as a Warden, House Parent, or in a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies and resolve conflicts calmly.
  • Must be able to manage a diverse group of athletes and foster a supportive environment.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of other regional languages is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid is preferred.

  • Working Hours: Flexible, with the requirement to be available after-hours for emergencies.
