JOB PURPOSE
ICE Data Services (IDS), a leading provider of financial market data, has an opening in Feeds Content Team, which is a real-time process that works on Market data corporate action events, Derivative and Equity reference data maintenance, pro-active checks, contributor data maintenance, quality assurance checks, Track day to day Developer Notices and analyze Feed impact to improve data quality and client experience. This team also supports real-time feeds and desktop business verticals around the clock, 5.5 days a week.
The individuals of this team acquire and maintain a detailed understanding of Exchange notifications and associated market conventions for those venues. This knowledge will then be applied to process the reference data events and help initiate data quality projects to enhance client experience.
The individuals on this team are expected to be the 'go to' people for all questions regarding instrument level reference data, how they are maintained on various Real Time Services (RTS) products. The individuals will be responsible for maintenance of reference data. Team members also interact with on-shore stake holders like Market BAs, client facing staff and Development teams in order to determine exact requirements for enhancements and modifications to existing data presentations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Improvement and cleanse of content existing on databases - Identifying data quality issues, recommending procedural and technical changes to improve productivity and data quality for Feeds Content Process
- Sourcing and maintenance of Market data events across global equity exchanges - Incumbent sources and maintains the Market data events announced by exchange. Also, be updated on the feed / exchange specific exceptions and maintain MoWs which can be referred by team
- Work on client queries, analyze the problem, provide RCA and Resolution to clients - Take ownership of issues raised in JIRA, fixing and providing timely updates. Facilitate the Market BAs and Development teams with required research to get strategic or tactical fix
- Maintain reference data for Derivative and Equity instruments - Process routine activities to ensure accurate and latest data is available on database
- Identification of sources with optimum data and raise requests to change feed mapping - To check and identify source that has the optimum data in terms of coverage and accuracy. Liaise with stake holders for changes if any
- Track day to day Developer Notices and analyze for any data impact - Track and monitor the Developer notices which will be published for any data changes and analyze the impact of the same and take necessary steps to ensure the quality of the data is not disturbed
- Execute daily validation and initiation procedures, ensuring the integrity and consistency of data across multiple platforms - Ensure the identified tasks and procedures are executed for the day/shift to maintain integrity and consistency of data across all databases
- Act as a bridge between Client Services, BAs and development teams - Active participation in discussions with stake holders to present, analyze and get the desired solution for client pain points
- Circulating periodic reports of query analysis, reference data updates, pricing data updates, descriptive data and commodity updates to stake holders - Collect, prepare and publish relevant MIS reports/ stats to stake holders on query trends, Project updates, Critical events and monthly activities
- Support Development team in content and UAT testing - As part of continuous improvement, support the BA's and Development team in content on-boarding, enhancements and testing feed based applications along with timely feedback
- Reporting / Support – Keeping appropriate managers and other groups informed of progress in key areas of market data content changes and improvements. Supporting appropriate client facing personnel in matters of content modeling and quality, with a view towards superior client satisfaction and increased sales.

Required Basic Qualifications

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts including night shifts
- Should possess in-depth knowledge on different financial instruments, preferable in Instrument reference data of Equity and Derivative
- Working experience on Market data events and knowledge on Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters / Refinitive products is an added advantage
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressured, fluid environment
- Bachelor's or a Master's degree in finance line with relevant financial services industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable working with large datasets
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Office applications, Basic SQL and Macros
- Good analytical, technical and problem solving skills
