FBE Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate FBE coating equipment as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor and control pre-heating, powder spray, curing, and cooling stages of the coating process.
• Ensure correct pipe surface preparation including cleaning, blasting, and inspection before coating.
• Apply coating thickness checks and perform holiday (defect) detection tests.
• Record operational data including temperatures, coating thickness, and line speed.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or coating defects.
• Assist in maintenance and calibration of coating equipment.
• Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards during operation.
• Support QA/QC teams during inspections and audits.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as an FBE Operator or in a pipe coating environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of FBE coating process and associated equipment.

Key Skills:

• Understanding of FBE coating principles, surface preparation, and quality control methods.
• Familiarity with measuring tools such as DFT gauges, thermometers, and holiday detectors.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical specifications.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts and physically demanding environments.
