Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Transaction Advisory team in various financial advisory and valuation engagements, including those related to corporate transactions and regulatory matters.
  • Support in the development and maintenance of business valuation models using Microsoft Excel, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and research to gather relevant data for valuation assignments.
  • Contribute to assignments involving the valuation of intangible assets (e.g., brand value, customer contracts) as per project requirements.
  • Aid in understanding and applying the direct tax implications of transactions on valuation.
  • Collaborate with the in-house Due Diligence Team by providing necessary data and analysis for transactions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency in all analyses and reports.
  • Learn and apply relevant accounting standards and financial statement analysis techniques.

Background & Skills:

  • Academic background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (e.g., CA Inter/Finalist, MBA Finance).
  • 1-2 years of experience in valuation, financial analysis, or a related field, preferably from a consulting firm, Big 4, or a dedicated valuation practice.

Technical Skillsets:

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and ability to read and interpret financial statements.
  • Basic understanding of direct tax implications of transactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and basic modeling.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A proactive approach, strong work ethic, and ability to learn quickly.
  • A collaborative team player with a willingness to take on new challenges.
