Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and code medical records related to:
- ENM (Evaluation and Management) — Office visits, consultations, etc.
- Surgery — General, orthopedic, cardiovascular, ENT, etc.
- Radiology — Diagnostic imaging, interventional procedures.
- Apply correct ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with official coding guidelines (AAPC/AHIMA), payer rules, and client SOPs.
- Query physicians when documentation is incomplete or unclear.
- Maintain daily productivity and coding accuracy standards.
- Work closely with QA team to understand and resolve feedback.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education: Any Graduate (Life Sciences, Paramedical, Nursing, BSc, etc.)
- Certification:
- AAPC or AHIMA certified (CPC, COC, CCS) – Mandatory for freshers
- Experience:
- Freshers with training in ENM/Surgery/Radiology coding (with certification)
- 1–3 years of experience in multispecialty or specific coding areas
Key Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology
- Familiarity with payer-specific guidelines and NCCI edits
- Experience with coding tools (3M, Optum EncoderPro, TruCode) is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Strong verbal and written communication for query resolution
