Engineer/Sr.Engineer - Fabrication

Job Summary

• Managing the Production Team & Contract Workforce and ensuring planning, organizing production related activities within the plant to meet customer expectations & quality at cost effective rates.
• Preparing overall projects scheduling with the GM Fabrication on Macro level & execute with the team work. Identify & plan for critical parameters in the projects.
• Reporting monthly, quarterly & annual production plans and implementing the same on the shop floor with efficient supply process to meet company objectives by minimizing costs with maximum inventory turns.
• Establishing the systems/ SOPs for all the activities into the fabrication perimeter
• Continuous review and improvements in procedures and methodologies.
• Monitors progress of work and address issues as needed (e.g. re-allocation of resources, alternate sequencing of jobs, resolution of operational/ technical issues).
• Assists in identifying, investigating and resolving equipment/ tooling/ process issues. Implementation of 5S
• Assures effective and efficient utilization of personnel and equipment (ex. Reduction of set-up and cycle times, etc.)
• Settling technical disputes/clarifications during execution of project.

B. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Experience of minimum 5+ years in Manufacturing Heavy fabrication activities.
• Excellent Knowledge in Fabrication of equipment like Pressure vessels, Hydro project equipment, cement, and power plant equipment.
• Through knowledge, experience in Manufacturing Drawing Study.
• Excellent knowledge in Welding Processes like SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and SAW.
• Excellent knowledge in Process of Welder Qualification, Preparation of WPS PQR, and WPQR.
• Ability to interrupt and analyze technical problems in manufacturing activities.
• Excellent knowledge of ASME Sec III, Sec VIII, Sec IX, DIN, and JIS standards.
• Developed and Implementation Quality Control Standards for Heavy fabrication activities.
• Through knowledge in Materials like CS, Alloy steel, SS, P11, P22, and P91.
