Engineer (IT)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications and websites.
• Execute manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure functionality, performance, and usability of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation.
• Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected by new changes.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools, and follow up with the development team for timely resolution.
• Participate in requirement review and design review meetings to provide QA inputs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for quality.
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the team and resolve day-to-day issues.
• Assist in training team members on applications and testing procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in QA, specifically in mobile app and website testing.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Familiarity with testing techniques and approaches across functional, integration, system, and regression testing phases.
• Proficiency in manual testing; experience with automated testing tools like Selenium or Appium is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall development processes.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification preferred.
• Experience with performance testing and security testing is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools is a plus.
