Engineer - Instrumentation

We are seeking a solution-oriented Engineer - Instrumentation to provide technical support for instrumentation and control systems within a Project Team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in E&I (Electronics & Instrumentation) or a related field, along with a strong understanding of instrumentation technologies and electrical engineering.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Provide technical support within the project team for the field of instrumentation and control systems.
• Technical Documentation: Clarify job-specific technical requirements and data for various instruments (e.g., control valves, solenoid valves, limit switches, and instruments for pressure, temperature, level, and flow measurement).
• Procurement: Prepare technical documents for the procurement process and act as a technical contact for sub-vendors.
• Data Management: Issue plant listings and documentation for instrumentation, and manage data within engineering IT-Systems (e.g., the COMOS database system).
• Specific Activities:
• Verify job-specific technical specifications.
• Issue data sheets for the specification of instrumentation.
• Clarify technical questions and manage the realization of changes.
• Verify sub-vendor documents.

Skills Required

Education: A Bachelor of Engineering in E&I or a related field.

Technical Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of instrumentation technologies and electrical engineering.
• Experience in the field of automation and/or control systems design is a plus.
• Experience in order handling within the plant engineering industry, especially for the processing industry, is helpful.
• Software Skills: Interested in the application of IT-Systems/database systems, and proficiency with DCS/PLC (Distributed Control System/Programmable Logic Controller) programming.
