Job Summary

Seeking an experienced and security-minded Search Engineer with hands-on expertise in Embedded Linux development and robust security engineering practices. This role focuses on designing and implementing secure system components across multimedia, connectivity, telephony, and generic embedded frameworks—while enforcing best-in-class practices for threat mitigation and secure lifecycle integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of security throughout the product lifecycle: architecture, design, secure coding, and automated testing.
• Build and maintain security features such as secure boot, secure updates, secure authentication, and encryption systems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed security-first principles into the development process.
• Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk impact analysis for Linux- and Android-based systems.
• Leverage CI/CD toolchains to implement automated security testing, secure code reviews, and compliance gates.
• Architect systems leveraging cryptographic techniques (RSA, AES, ECDSA, PKCS) and secure key storage using HSMs and ARM TrustZones.
• Utilize open source security frameworks (e.g., OpenSSL) across both device and cloud contexts.
• Represent the engineering team in internal and external technical discussions concerning security trade-offs and architecture.

Education & Experience

• Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
• Experience: Typically 5–8 years in embedded software design with a strong security emphasis

Technical Competencies

• Languages: C, C++, Python, Java
• Platforms: Embedded Linux (mandatory), Android (preferred)
• Tools:
• Debuggers: GDB, DDD
• Linux Utilities: top, ps, meminfo, Linux editors
• Security Frameworks: OpenSSL, custom secure boot chains
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure (with experience in securing cloud-native applications/services)
• Specializations:
• Embedded Linux security (kernel hardening, permissions, SELinux)
• Carrier-grade platforms, multimedia & telephony stacks
• Secure system architecture and automation in CI/CD pipelines
