Endpoint VA Remediation Specialist

• Develop and implement remediation plans to resolve vulnerabilities identified through scans and assessments.
• Maintain current knowledge of emerging vulnerabilities, threats, and exploit techniques relevant to endpoints and operating systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Collaborate with IT operations, system admins, and security teams to deploy patches, mitigate risks, and validate fixes.
• Perform root cause analysis and identify long-term solutions for recurring endpoint vulnerabilities.
• Track, manage, and report on vulnerability findings and remediation progress through dashboards and detailed reports.
• Use and optimize vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7) for endpoint assessments.
• Utilize scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate remediation and reporting tasks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes and tools.
• Operate effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and handle multiple remediation tasks simultaneously.

Required Skills Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in endpoint security, vulnerability management, or IT systems remediation
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7)
• Strong understanding of endpoint security, patch management processes, and tools (e.g., SCCM, WSUS, Ivanti)
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATTCK, CIS Controls)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving , and communication skills
• Ability to create and present technical reports for various audiences (technical and non-technical)
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
