EMC Storage Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain EMC storage systems including but not limited to VMAX, Unity, VNX, XtremIO, PowerMax, and Isilon/PowerScale.
• Configure and manage SAN/NAS environments, storage provisioning, zoning, and LUN masking using EMC Unisphere, Navisphere, or CLI.
• Monitor storage performance, health, and capacity using tools like EMC ViPR SRM, EMC Secure Remote Services (ESRS), and Dell EMC SupportAssist.
• Perform storage upgrades, firmware updates, and patching with minimal business disruption.
• Implement and maintain data replication and backup solutions, such as EMC RecoverPoint, Data Domain, Avamar, or Networker.
• Support disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing for storage solutions.
• Collaborate with VMware, network, and database administrators to ensure seamless storage integration.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot storage-related issues, and provide on-call support as needed.
• Document storage architecture, procedures, configurations, and incident resolutions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Storage Administrator with a focus on Dell EMC solutions.
• Proficiency in managing enterprise SAN/NAS systems and working with Brocade or Cisco MDS Fibre Channel switches.
• Strong understanding of RAID levels, thin provisioning, deduplication, and snapshot technologies.
• Working knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, data migration, and storage tiering.
• Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Shell) for automation is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
