Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Innovation Strategy & Leadership:
- Lead electrical innovation initiatives aligned with the company's R&D and product roadmap.
- Scout and evaluate emerging technologies, components, and industry trends.
- Define and drive strategic innovation projects from concept to prototype.
2. Product & Technology Development:
- Design and develop advanced electrical systems, circuits, and architectures.
- Lead the integration of new technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, energy storage, power electronics) into existing or new products.
- Collaborate with product, design, and manufacturing teams to translate ideas into viable solutions.
3. Research & Feasibility Studies:
- Conduct feasibility analysis, simulations, and proof-of-concept testing.
- Stay up to date with academic and industry research in electrical engineering and adjacent technologies.
- Build and manage partnerships with universities, startups, or innovation hubs.
4. Project Management & Collaboration:
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resource planning for innovation projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technical specialists.
- Collaborate across disciplines (mechanical, software, industrial design) to support product development.
5. Quality, Compliance & Sustainability:
- Ensure designs meet industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, UL) and regulatory requirements.
- Drive initiatives focused on energy efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability.
Key Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- PhD or specialization in power systems, embedded systems, or energy innovation is a plus.
- Experience:
- 7–12 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on product innovation or R&D.
- Proven track record of leading innovation or product development projects.
- Skills:
- Expertise in circuit design, power electronics, embedded systems, and energy systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, LTspice)
- Familiarity with IoT platforms, AI/ML integration in electrical systems is a plus
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management abilities
