Job Description

Responsible for maintenance of Automation and Instrumentation systems of Steel Plant.
To Ensure Spares Availability and Inventory management ensuring the minimum & maximum levels of critical spares.
Knowledge in Maintenance &; Trouble shooting of DCS & PLC System
Exposure to MV and LV VFDs of Siemens MV (Perfect Harmony), TMEIC MV, S120 & G120 drives etc.
Hands on experience of ABB 800xA DCS Platform & PLC (AB, Siemens) system. Logic development, Software trouble shooting, Graphic development, Alarm, event, trend & Report configuration. Logic development in FBD, ST, SFC, Ladder logic. Supporting new automation initiatives at Plant (e.g., local communication, Efficiency improvement tools etc).
Maintaining Backup of all automation systems viz DCS, PLC ES/OS PCS7 & VVVF
Drive, Controllers and settings of Protection relays and updating documents.
Exposure to Siemens S7 PLC ES / OS, WinCC.
Preparation/ modification /trouble shooting of Siemens S7400/300/1500 /1200 PLCs Hardware and Software systems.
Upkeep of records of Calibration of Instrumentation systems various Level Transmitters,
Pressure & temperature transmitters and Weigh Feeders, Belt Scales etc
Hands on knowledge of instruments like Moisture Analysers, Gas Analysers, CV
Analysers, Emission monitoring Analysers PT, FT, LT, Actuators.
Carrying out maintenance as per SAP PM schedule and its compliance.
Implementing measures to make the operation process easy, effective and user friendly.
RCA & its corrective actions to ensure elimination of repetitive failure.
Exposure to implementation of TQM, keen understanding of ISO, OHSAS, 6 Sigma and lean management systems.
To ensure 100% Safe Work Practices, Implementation of Safety Standards, HIRA and Revision of SOPs/SMPs.
Understanding operational requirements, carrying out Safety Audits, Third Party Inspections, coordination with cross functional teams.
Manpower management to proficiently oversee a team of 20 employees.
