Job Description
- Advise and assist the factory management in the fulfillment of its obligations, statutory or otherwise concerning prevention of personal injuries and maintaining safe working environment.
- Advise on safety aspects in all job studies, and to carry out detailed job safety studies of selected jobs
- Check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent accident
- Carryout plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices followed by the employees and to render advice on measures to be adopted for reducing the unsafe conditions and preventing unsafe practices
- Design and conduct safety training either independently or in collaboration with others for the employees at all levels
- Take the help of various techniques for identifying hazards and risk analysis
- Be proactive and able to design, implement, sustain and improve the various Management Systems like OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001etc
- Maintain the Env. Management System in the Plant
- Monitoring and Measurement of Workplace Environment
- Monitoring and Measurement of ETP & STP
- Monitoring and Measurement of Consent and NoC
- Liaise with external agency like Factory Directorate, Explosive Deptt. , Pollution Control Board, National Safety Council, DGFASLI etc
- Implementation, Monitoring & Review of Safety Systems according to Factories Act 1948.
- Incident/ Accident communication (escalation) , investigation, analysis & recommendation of corrective & preventive actions to the Management
- Maintain fire extinguishers inspection, HIRA.
- Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation viz. LTI, FAC, TRC etc.
- Assist in administering and maintaining compliance such as LOTO, Hazard, Hearing, Hot Work, Respiratory Protection, etc
