Responsibilities & Impact

• Provide workflow oversight and editorial decision-making, ensuring timely and high-quality coverage of the energy and commodities sectors
• Edit both breaking news articles and in-depth features for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to S&P Global's editorial standards
• Publish content to the real-time online platform, maintaining pace with industry developments
• Collaborate closely with writers, fellow editors, and production staff to ensure smooth editorial operations
• Offer constructive editorial feedback to writers, supporting their development and upholding content quality
• Stay informed about developments in the energy, metals, and mining sectors to ensure accurate and insightful reporting
• Adapt to evolving platforms and tools, continuously expanding technical and editorial skills
• Cross-post and curate content across platforms as needed to maximize reach and visibility

What We're Looking For

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Journalism, Communications, or English)
• 1–5 years of journalism or editorial experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Exceptional editorial judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Interest in expanding knowledge of the energy and commodities sectors

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience covering the commodities industry (energy, metals, mining)
• Familiarity with real-time publishing platforms and newsroom workflows
