EBM Machine Maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Maintenance & Operations:

• Maintain EBM machines (Bekum, Kautex, Jomar, Magic, Meccanoplastica, or equivalent).
• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of EBM machines and auxiliaries.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-related issues.
• Ensure optimum machine uptime and production efficiency.

Utilities & Auxiliaries:

• Maintain auxiliary equipment such as compressors, chillers, material handling systems, dryers, molds, and temperature controllers.
• Coordinate with utility teams for uninterrupted power, air, and water supply.

Spare Parts & Cost Control:

• Plan and manage critical spares inventory for EBM machines.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through repair, refurbishment, and standardization of spares.
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for spares, AMC, and technical support.

Team Management:

• Lead and supervise maintenance engineers, technicians, and fitters.
• Allocate jobs, monitor performance, and ensure skill development of the maintenance team.
• Train operators on basic machine maintenance and safe operation practices.

Safety, Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to safety standards, TPM, 5S, ISO, and statutory compliances.
• Support quality team in resolving machine-related defects and rejection issues.
• Maintain maintenance records, SOPs, and breakdown analysis reports.

Continuous Improvement:

• Analyze breakdown trends and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support machine upgrades, retrofits, and new EBM machine installations.
• Drive productivity improvement and energy optimization initiatives.
