EBM Machine Maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Maintenance & Operations:

• Responsible for maintenance of EBM machines such as Bekum, Kautex, Jomar, Magic, Meccanoplastica, or equivalent.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of EBM machines and related auxiliaries.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-related issues.
• Ensure maximum machine uptime and operational efficiency.
• Maintain detailed breakdown reports and maintenance logs.

Utilities & Auxiliary Equipment:

• Maintain auxiliary equipment including air compressors, chillers, dryers, molds, temperature controllers, and material handling systems.
• Coordinate with utility teams to ensure uninterrupted power, air, and water supply.
• Support smooth mold changeovers and machine setting optimization.

Spare Parts & Cost Management:

• Plan and manage inventory of critical spare parts for EBM machines.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives through repair, refurbishment, and standardization of components.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for spares procurement, AMC contracts, and technical support.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead and supervise maintenance engineers, technicians, and fitters.
• Allocate tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure skill enhancement.
• Train machine operators on first-level maintenance and safe operational practices.

Safety, Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, TPM, 5S, ISO, and statutory regulations.
• Support quality team in resolving machine-related defects and rejection issues.
• Maintain SOPs, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation.

Continuous Improvement:

• Analyze breakdown trends and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Support machine upgrades, retrofits, and new EBM machine installations.
• Drive productivity improvement and energy optimization initiatives.
