Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-wide DLP solutions to monitor, detect, and prevent unauthorized data access or exfiltration.
- Configure and fine-tune DLP policies, rules, and alerts aligned with business needs and compliance requirements.
- Monitor DLP events, analyze incidents, and coordinate remediation activities.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to enforce data security policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements to data protection controls.
- Maintain and update documentation related to DLP architecture, policies, and procedures.
- Train employees on data protection best practices and DLP usage.
- Stay updated on emerging DLP technologies, threats, and industry standards.
- Assist in audits and compliance activities related to data security.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in DLP administration and management.
- Proficiency with DLP solutions such as Symantec DLP, Forcepoint, McAfee DLP, or Microsoft Information Protection.
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Knowledge of network security, endpoint security, and data classification.
- Experience analyzing security logs and incident response.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Desirable Skills and Certifications:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or vendor-specific DLP certifications.
- Familiarity with encryption technologies and key management.
- Experience with cloud DLP solutions and SaaS security.
- Understanding of insider threat detection techniques.
- Ability to develop training materials and conduct awareness sessions.
