Director - Software Development

• Lead, scale, and mentor a team of engineers across backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps.
• Define and execute the engineering strategy and roadmap for the gStore product in alignment with company goals.
• Partner with Product Management, UX, and Data Science teams to build scalable, resilient, and intuitive software solutions.
• Drive a high-performance culture of innovation, agility, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure architectural integrity and drive key technology decisions across cloud, edge, and mobile components of the product.
• Manage the technical department and continuously modernise the tech stack, focusing on security, performance, and scalability.
• Establish OKRs, sprint goals, and team metrics to ensure timely, quality releases.
• Lead by example in engineering excellence, including code reviews, design decisions, and incident management.
• Represent Engineering in customer discussions, pre-sales engagements, and strategic partnerships as needed.

Requirement

• 14+ years of experience in large-scale software product development for Enterprise SaaS product lines with at least 5+ years in an engineering leadership, people management role.
• Experience of managing a team of Senior Engineering Managers, Technical Architects, Subject
• Matter Experts and Engineers for Product Development.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in microservices, cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working in fast-paced agile environments, ideally in product-led growth companies.
• Strong academic background in engineering, preferably from tier 1 colleges.
• Ability to work and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the globe.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with conflicts.
• Excellent organisation and facilitation skills
