Job Description

We're looking for a Director Product Management to take strategic and financial ownership of all product technologies in India. This key leadership role, based in Mumbai, requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in B2B industrial or technology sectors. You will report to the VP Asia Pacific Commercial and be accountable for driving revenue, profitability, and market share through strategic marketing and product positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial & Strategic Leadership: Drive business growth and profitability by owning and delivering on key financial targets, including revenue, gross margin, operating profit, and market share. This includes developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans and establishing pricing strategies to position our products effectively within a competitive arena.
  • Market & Brand Development: Develop business plans and oversee market research to monitor competitive activity and identify customer needs. You will champion initiatives to build and enhance Videojet's brand equity in India through differentiated value propositions and customer-centric messaging. You'll also build tools and training programs to empower sales teams to effectively sell and position our products.
  • Voice of Customer & Sales: Capture and analyze Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Sales (VOS) to inform the local technology strategy. This will help you improve customer satisfaction and tailor product solutions to meet specific market needs.
  • Global Collaboration: Act as the key interface between the Indian and Global Product Management teams. Your role is to provide strategic input for product roadmaps, advocate for local needs in global forums, and manage the entire product life cycle from launch to end-of-life.
  • Representation & Strategy: Provide key inputs to the overall India strategy by offering the right solutions to the right customer segments. You will also build marketing strategies to represent the company at seminars and exhibitions to maximize visibility and brand identity.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 15-20 years of experience in product management, marketing, or business leadership roles in B2B industrial or technology-based sectors. You must have prior experience managing multiple product categories and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, and an MBA from a recognized institution is preferred.
  • Skills: Demonstrated success in leading complex initiatives, influencing global stakeholders, and achieving commercial targets. This role requires significant travel to client locations.
