Job Responsibilities

• Act as the Single Point of Accountability for ensuring system uptime and always-available service.
• End-to-end managing, monitoring, and maintaining of cloud infrastructure.
• Design and implement infrastructure for delivering and running web and mobile applications.
• Install and configure a variety of:
• Webservers
• Databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Caching systems
• Queuing systems
• Application frameworks
• Build automation at various levels, including code deployment to streamline the release process.
• Define and set processes to identify performance bottlenecks or spikes in system performance.
• Deploy and manage robust monitoring and alerting for the entire infrastructure.
• Manage user access for:
• Linux
• Version control systems
• Other tools
• Install, set up, and manage in-house version control systems.
• Set up continuous integration using Jenkins and other tools.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with various scripting languages.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services (AWS experience is required).
• Working understanding of code and script (e.g., PHP, Python, Java, Perl, Ruby).
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure solutions are designed with user experience, scale/performance, and operability in mind.
