Devops Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Design, provision, and maintain ultra-low-latency and high-throughput systems across on-premise and co-located data centers.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and manage robust build, test, and deployment pipelines tailored for fast, iterative development in trading environments.
• Automation & Scripting: Automate infrastructure provisioning, system updates, and monitoring using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or custom scripts.
• Monitoring & Observability: Build and maintain real-time monitoring and alerting systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• System Performance: Profile and optimize systems for minimum jitter and tail latency; collaborate with traders and developers to fine-tune applications and infrastructure.
• Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous security practices, access controls, and compliance checks appropriate for financial environments.
• Incident Response: Participate in an on-call rotation to address production issues and outages; perform post-mortems and drive root cause resolution.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, traders, and network engineers to ensure alignment across all stages of software and infrastructure development.

Qualification Criteria

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1+yrs of DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering experience, preferably in HFT, finance, or another latency-critical environment.
• Expert in Linux system administration and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with containerization (e.g., Docker), orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
• Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, multicast, and hardware acceleration (RDMA, DPDK, etc.).
• Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in HFT, proprietary trading firms, or electronic exchanges.
• Knowledge of FPGA or hardware optimization pipelines.
• Exposure to co-location data centers and ultra-low-latency networks.
• Experience with real-time data capture and tick-by-tick monitoring.
• Familiarity with compliance and audit requirements in financial services.
