Developer For Atlassian applications

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom Jira/Confluence plugins and apps using Atlassian SDK, Java, Groovy, REST APIs, and ScriptRunner.
• Create custom workflows, conditions, validators, and post-functions for Jira Software and Jira Service Management.
• Integrate Jira/Confluence with other systems (e.g., Slack, Git, Jenkins, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps) using REST APIs, webhooks, or middleware.
• Design and implement custom dashboards, reports, gadgets, and macros in Jira and Confluence.
• Support the migration of on-prem to Atlassian Cloud or manage hybrid Atlassian environments.
• Develop automation rules using Automation for Jira, ScriptRunner, or Power Scripts.
• Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and business teams to understand tool requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Ensure system performance, security, and scalability best practices are applied.
• Maintain documentation for all customizations, configurations, and integrations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience as an Atlassian Developer or Jira/Confluence customizer.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Groovy, JavaScript, and scripting languages.
• Proficiency in REST API integration, JSON, and web services.
• Experience with Atlassian SDK, ScriptRunner, Jira Query Language (JQL).
• Good understanding of Agile project management and ITSM frameworks.

Desirable:

• Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-100, ACP-120, ACP-600).
• Experience with Bitbucket, Bamboo, or Crowd.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Cloud, Forge platform, or Connect apps.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
• Understanding of database queries (PostgreSQL, MySQL) for backend Atlassian data.
