We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience providing technical support and expertise in troubleshooting desktop systems, ensuring a smooth and efficient IT environment for our users.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktop hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues for end-users.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts and profiles.
  • Conduct training for staff on new technology and software applications.
  • Document and track support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in desktop support or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and above) and Mac OS.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and basic troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
