Design Engineer II – Mining & Metals

• Provide essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and perform assigned engineering work

• Support Area Lead or Lead on projects; apply standard engineering techniques to moderately difficult assignments

• Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques to develop cost-effective project solutions

• Develop and review specifications, including design criteria

• Participate in equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities

• Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderate-to-complex engineering problems

• Review vendor equipment documentation within and across disciplines for compliance with project requirements; resolve discrepancies

• Analyze and make independent recommendations for solutions to engineering problems

• Promote Fluor's competitiveness by delivering quality services with technical competence

• Other duties as assigned
