Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership:
• Lead projects from start to launch using the new product development process.
• Independently manage the project, develop business cases, and estimate product costs.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with teams such as Procurement, Operations, and Quality to ensure the successful manufacturing and validation of products.
• Work with suppliers and internal operations for product build and validation.
• Product Design & Documentation:
• Develop product concepts, part designs, and detailing using 3D design software (Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Prepare engineering documentation, including bills of material, test specifications, and lab reports.
• Coordinate with vendors for quality prototyping and timely execution of the project.
• Engineering Change Management:
• Manage product documentation and take responsibility for the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) function.
• Design Analysis & Validation:
• Utilize proficiency in design methodologies such as DFA, DFM, DFMEA, and Design Validation Plans to ensure design quality.
• Conduct calculations to verify the design's integrity and performance.
• Technical Standards & Compliance:
• Ensure that designs meet industry standards such as ASME, IEC, and EN codes.
• Global Collaboration:
• Work across different time zones with global teams, displaying excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
