Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans for national fleet management, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and efficient operational execution.
  • OEM Partnership Development: Build and nurture strategic partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure favorable terms, access to new technologies, and reliable support for the fleet.
  • Maintenance & Repair Oversight: Oversee all aspects of fleet maintenance and repair operations across the national network, ensuring vehicles are kept in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime, and adhering to safety standards.
  • Budget Management: Manage the comprehensive fleet budget, including meticulous control over vehicle acquisition costs, maintenance expenses, and fuel consumption, striving for cost-efficiency without compromising performance.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization: Track and rigorously analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet operations. Identify areas for continuous improvement, implement corrective actions, and ensure optimal fleet performance across all metrics.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure the entire national fleet operates in strict compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Team Leadership: Potentially lead and mentor a team responsible for various fleet management functions, fostering a high-performance and safety-conscious culture.
  • Technology Integration: Explore and implement new technologies and systems for fleet tracking, telematics, and predictive maintenance to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in Strategic Planning and Execution for large-scale fleet operations.
  • Proven ability to build strategic partnerships with OEMs.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Maintenance & Repair processes for diverse vehicle fleets.
  • Proficiency in managing and optimizing fleet budgets, including vehicle costs, maintenance, and fuel.
  • Ability to track and analyze KPIs to identify areas for improvement and ensure optimal fleet performance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
