Job Description
Parul University is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Deputy Director Competitive Examination Cell. The selected candidate will support the Director in planning, executing, and enhancing initiatives aimed at improving student success in competitive examinations such as UPSC, GPSC, GATE, CAT, GPAT, NET and others.
The role involves a blend of academic leadership, program execution, mentoring, and team coordination to strengthen the university's competitive exam ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Support:
· Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve student performance and selection rates in competitive examinations.
· Contribute to designing innovative academic and coaching interventions aligned with evolving exam patterns.
Program Execution:
· Coordinate the planning and execution of coaching programs, workshops, mock tests, and seminars.
· Ensure smooth operational management of all Competitive Examination Cell activities.
Student Mentorship:
· Provide guidance and mentoring to students for exam preparation, strategy building, and time management.
· Track student performance and suggest corrective measures for improvement.
Team Coordination:
· Support in managing faculty, trainers, and external mentors.
· Facilitate collaboration among internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:
· Assist in building partnerships with coaching institutes, industry experts, and alumni.
· Represent the Cell in internal meetings and academic initiatives.
Monitoring & Reporting:
· Analyze student performance data and program outcomes.
· Prepare reports and assist in recommending improvements for better results.
Any other work allotted by the Director, CEC
2. Eligibility Criteria
• Postgraduate degree from a recognized university.
• 5–8 years of experience in competitive exam coaching / mentoring / academic coordination
• Strong working knowledge of multiple competitive examinations—their patterns, syllabi, and preparation approaches (UPSC, State PSCs, GATE, CAT, GPAT, UGC & CSIR-NET/JRF, etc.)
• Proven ability to mentor students and contribute to successful outcomes
• Experience in academic administration or institutional roles will be an advantage
• Candidate should have personally prepared for competitive examinations
(Candidates who have appeared for UPSC CSE Personality Test / similar stages will be preferred)
