Database Administrator Connect

• Strong AWS experience with at least one of RDS databases - preferably MySQL Aurora, and/or Postgres
• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot in dynamic situations supporting mission-critical applications such as DBA
• Experience with AWS CLI and AWS RDS
• Standard DBA operations such as:
• Monitoring
• Query optimization
• Cost optimization
• Tuning
• Backup/restore
• Blue/green deployments
• Cross-region replication in AWS and/or other cloud environments
• DBA expertise from one of the popular RDBMS - preferably MySQL, Postgres
• Rich experience in performing database upgrades with minimum downtime
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to agile practices and working with agile software development teams
• Availability for pager-duty on call

Nice to have:

• Scripting and/or programming experience to automate standard DB tasks/operations
• Experience with data quality and data observability aspects of data management and working with the data analytics team
• Knowledge of percona toolkit
• Knowledge of pg/SQL
