Data Scientist - Senior Lead Engineer - IT

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GenAI / Data Science Engineer who is passionate about cutting-edge AI technologies and applying GenAI algorithms to solve complex business problems. The ideal candidate is analytically driven, intellectually curious, and experienced in developing and deploying machine learning and AI solutions. You will primarily function as an individual contributor while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and you may also provide technical leadership and mentorship to other data scientists.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement GenAI and Agentic AI applications to generate business value.
• Apply a range of machine learning techniques, including clustering, decision trees, bagging/boosting, and neural networks.
• Design and execute experiments to validate AI models and solutions.
• Work with engineering components essential for GenAI applications, including Vector DB, caching layers, chunking, and embeddings.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, software developers, business analysts, and business leaders to deliver impactful AI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to data science teams.
• Track performance and ensure enterprise-level success of AI initiatives.
• Maintain a strong focus on algorithms, ML models, and best practices in AI development.

Qualifications:

• PhD with 6+ years, Master's degree with 8+ years, or Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in ML modeling and AI development.
• Demonstrated experience in creating and deploying GenAI applications.
• Strong knowledge of ML techniques and their practical advantages and limitations.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, Langchain, LangGraph, and related AI frameworks.
• Solid background in algorithms and a variety of ML models.
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring to data science teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, including Product and Engineering teams.
