Data Operations Analyst

 Job Description

• Monitor the data loads and support the tools (DWH, DevOps, BI Tools), environments used by the data teams to ensure availability of
• Development, Test and production environments.
• Monitor data load performance, query/package execution time, error logs to ensure jobs are running successfully.
• Support the operations team with tracking alerts and errors, providing inputs to resolve incidents and problem tickets.
• Support data operations database changes observing industry standard software development life cycle approaches with development,
• Testing and deployment supported by comprehensive documentation
• Support the Operations team SME with releases of code from the engineering team to ensure separation of duty.
• Act as 1 st line of support to review and assign ServiceNow tickets to technicians in Data team assignment groups.
• Collaborate with the team to assess system performance and process efficiency making recommendations for change
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that data solutions are reliably populated on time
• Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation's Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of
• responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.

• Maintain the company's compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations.
• Experience Requirements
• Overall, 4 to 7 years of experience is essential
• 4+ years of experience supporting data operational activities extracting SQL data, monitoring data loads and other data services.
• 4+ years of experience working on Microsoft SQL Server, writing SQL queries, SSIS along with Azure administration is desirable
• Experience with job monitoring, support ticket handling and incident management is essential
• Experience working in an IT environment especially on Data projects
• Experience working within banking or other financial institutions is desirable
• Knowledge Requirements
• Strong background of working in data teams
• Robust knowledge of RDBMS principles and how best to manage environments
• Strong knowledge of a standardised SDLC is desirable
• .Skill and Competency Requirements
• Ability to communicate to our internal stakeholders and explain data operations intricacies is essential
• Developing high quality processes, procedures and governance for data operations
• Experience working in an Agile SDLC is desirable
• Experience working as part of a dedicated project team to deliver quality data solutions is essential
•  Required Qualifications/Certifications
• GSCE/GCE qualifications in both Maths and English are essential
• Certifications in ITIL or data management are desirable
• Responsibilities re Information Security Management System (as per ISO 27001 Certification Requirements)
• Ensure strict adherence to company's security policies and procedures (for ex: Password policy, clear screen and clear desk policy, etc.)
• Take ownership of all the assets/information assigned and secure it in compliance with ISO 27001 standard implemented in the company.
• Co-operate and co-ordinate for the internal audits conducted in the company (complying to ISO 27001 standard).
• Report to the Incident Response Manager, any incidents you come across in the office with regard to Security threats like threats to
• Physical asset & stored information or any risks detrimental to the Security Policies of the company, etc.,.
• Responsible to supervise in ensuring that all personnel reporting to you shall observe all Security requirements and be appropriately

trained in Security.
