Data Engineering, Aladdin Data - Vice President

Data is at the core of the Aladdin platform, and increasingly, our ability to consume, store, analyze, and gain insight from data is a key component of what differentiates us. As part of Aladdin Studio, The Aladdin Data Cloud (ADC) Engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining data-as-a-service solution for all the data management and transformation needs. We engineer high performance data pipelines, provide a fabric to discover and consume data, and continually evolve our data surface capabilities.

As a Data e ngineer in the ADC Engineering team , you will: -

• Work alongside our engineers to help design and build scalable data pipelines while evolving the data surface.
• Help prove out and deliver Cloud Native I nfrastructure and tooling to support scalable data cloud.
• Have fun as part of an amazing team .

Specific Responsibilities:

• Leading and w orking as part of a multi-disciplinary squad to establish our next generation of data pipelines and tools .
• Be involved from inception of projects, understanding requirements, designing & developing solutions , and incorporating them into the designs of our platforms .
• Mentor team members on technology and standard processes.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of the technical landscape for data & cloud tooling
• Assist in solving issues, support the operation of production software .
• Design solutions and document it.

Desirable Skills

• 8 + years of industry experience in data engineering area.
• Passion for engineering and optimiz ing data sets, data pipelines and architectur e .
• A bility to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, lineage, and metadat a .
• Knowledge of SQL and performance tuning. Experience with Snowflake is preferred.
• Good understanding of languages such as Python/Java
• Understanding of software deployment and orchestration technologies such as airflow etc.
• Experience with dbt is helpful .
• Working knowledge of building and deploying distributed system s
• E xperience in creating and evolving CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or Azure Dev Ops .
• Experience in handling multi-disciplinary team and mentoring them.
