Data Engineer (Java, Python, SQL, Linux), Aladdin Data, Vice President

And Ideal candidate would have

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• At least 1 2 + years experience as data engineer in a medium to large scale solutions
• At least 2+ years experience in leading a data engineering team
• Must have experience architecting and building scalable Big Data applications
• Must have cloud development experience ( Azure, GCP, AWS )
• Development e xperience using Java, Python, SQL, Linux is a must
• Experience with Database Modeling, Normalization techniques
• Experience / Familiarity with object-oriented design patterns
• Experience with dev ops tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Azure DevOps
• Experience with Agile development concepts and related tools
• Ability to trouble shoot and fix performance issues across the codebase and database queries
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for learning and implementing new technologies
• Ability to operate under fast-paced environment

Skills that would be a plus

• Perl
• C++
• Experience with Micro services and API
• Experience supporting large scale, complex analytics requirements
• Experience working in Finance industry (Investment Banking, Capital Markets etc.)
