Data Engineer

Job Summary:

The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures for large-scale data processing and analysis. The role involves working closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to ensure reliable data availability, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• design and implement scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and store structured and unstructured data
• build and manage data warehouses, lakes, and marts to support analytics and reporting needs
• develop data ingestion and transformation processes using etl/elt tools
• ensure data quality, consistency, and governance through validation and monitoring mechanisms
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions
• optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
• implement data security, compliance, and backup strategies
• monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues in production environments

Skills needed:

• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, or SQL
• Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
