Job Description
- We are looking for someone to support the development of AutoSum a set of sub-surface data analytics tool
- The web version of the tool is developed using R/Shiny the desktop version is developed in Python
- Therefore, the candidate needs to have good abilities in developing R/Shiny (RConnect) applications and should be familiar with the R ecosystem
- Candidates that have practical experience in developing larger applications in Python are preferred
- There is a highly energetic and welcoming project team developing the tools based on Agile methodology
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the development of the web version of the data science tool in R/Shiny
- Contributing to the development of the desktop version of the data science tool in Python
- Write clean and maintainable production-level code, including tests; the tech stack we work with includes: R, Shiny, Plotly, GIT, Azure,Python, TensorFlow
- Developing and improving functionality of the tools Work closely with the customer and the Product Owner day-to-day Work in a highly-collaborative, friendly Agile environment, participate in Ceremonies and Continuous Improvement activities
- Documenting and explaining the results of analysis or modelling to both a technical and non-technical audience Learning new engineering practices, technologies and continuously improving our Agile practices
Required Skills and Experience
- MSc or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Data Science or similar discipline with at least 2 years' experience on data science projects
- Experience in general linear modelling, multivariate analysis, statistical modelling, and preferred additional knowledge of time series modelling, machine learning
- A practical common sense approach to problem solving and attention to detail
- Good software and data engineering capabilities Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for team work, as well as the ability to work independently
- High standards of code quality, making use of version control tools
- Proficiency in statistical software packages such as R, Python
