Responsibilities

Develop and maintain world-class enterprise-grade ETL/ELT data pipelines with agility.
Transform raw data into scalable, performant data models to be consumed by data analysts and data scientists.
Design, build, and update foundational analytics data models that simplify analysis across products.
Implement best practices to ensure high-quality, robust data, including but not limited to data monitoring and alerting, data quality frameworks, and regression methodologies.
Develop, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot production-level DAGs with orchestration software, preferably Airflow.
Develop automated solutions to reduce manual effort wherever possible.
Review and document code changes thoroughly and orchestrate deployments.
Understand and follow change management and release management processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline.
Minimum of 8+ years (6+ years with a Master's) of experience working in a data engineering role focused on finance analytics.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient with transactional Python; analytical Python skills are a plus.
Advanced SQL ability, including dimensional modeling and data model design.
Proficiency in data principles, system and data architecture, and dimensional data modeling.
Experience developing orchestration/scheduling jobs (preferably Airflow).
Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and Spark.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Previous hands-on professional experience working with finance metrics, data, and systems.
Experience with dbt is preferred.
Ability to drive results with minimal supervision and be a force multiplier for other team members.
Readily take on difficult challenges and approach them with a sense of urgency.
Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Work in an open manner, sharing information with others to ensure collective success.
Manage customer expectations and work to find mutually agreeable solutions.
