Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ETL/data processing and data transformation.
• Monitor data traffic and data processing schedules.
• Capture data changes and escalate issues as needed.
• Improve and optimize existing data processes.
• Handle ad-hoc data tool development and customization.
• Identify data inconsistencies and variances for resolution.
• Manage timelines and produce regular reports.
• Execute complex calculations and validations.
• Perform filing validations and sanity checks.
• Conduct logical reasoning and analysis to solve complex data-related problems.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SQL, including:
• Writing and optimizing complex queries.
• Working with intricate data structures.
• Extracting insights from raw data.
• Strong data analysis and logical reasoning abilities:
• Analyze complex datasets.
• Trace data through intricate logic.
• Apply critical thinking to resolve data issues.
• Ability to transform and manipulate raw data based on business/client logic.
• Gather requirements effectively from clients regarding:
• Data transformation needs.
• Reporting expectations.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to understand and meet client expectations.
• Familiarity with ETL and reporting tools (preferred but not mandatory):
• Tools such as SSRS or Power BI for reporting and visualization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably with a focus on Mathematics or Statistics.

Preferred Experience & Competencies:

• Prior experience in the finance industry.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data pipelines.
• Proven ability to:
