Corporate Action Analyst
Job Title: Senior Associate
Shift: Rotational Shifts
Key Responsibilities
As a Corporate Action Analyst, you'll be instrumental in managing the entire lifecycle of corporate action events within our systems. Your expertise will ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and seamless communication with all stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Event Management: Accurately scrub and set up corporate action events in internal systems (e.g., Picasso).
- Position Monitoring: Monitor global positions (settled/pending) to determine eligibility for various corporate action events.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete corporate action lifecycle, from announcement and notification to elections and booking.
- Voluntary Events: Manage instructions for voluntary events and maintain effective communication with custodians and agents.
- Proceeds Processing: Ensure the accurate processing and reconciliation of proceeds on the payment date.
- Primary Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for all corporate action operations, both internally and externally.
- Subject Matter Expert: Develop into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on market-specific corporate actions, contributing valuable expert insights.
- Reporting & Escalation: Provide regular reports on event statuses and escalate issues promptly when necessary.
Contributing Responsibilities
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate operational and reputational risks.
- Efficiency Improvement: Work to reduce manual instructions and enhance STP (Straight Through Processing) rates with custodians.
- Data Maintenance: Ensure the accurate maintenance of static data related to corporate actions.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise effectively with traders, sales teams, custodians, and other operations teams.
- Compliance: Diligently follow escalation protocols and adhere to all compliance requirements.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of various corporate action types.
- Familiarity with systems like Calypso, Picasso, Power, etc.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving abilities.
