Consultant - WAF + Akamai

• As a Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Akamai Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expertise in implementing and managing web security solutions, with a focus on WAF and Akamai technologies
• Your role involves collaborating with clients to understand their security requirements, designing effective solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing optimization of WAF and Akamai services

Responsibilities:

• Client Consultation: Engage with clients to assess their web security needs, understand application architectures, and gather requirements for WAF and Akamai deployments
• WAF Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy Web Application Firewalls to protect web applications from a range of security threats, ensuring optimal performance and minimal impact on legitimate traffic
• Akamai Configuration: Implement and optimize Akamai solutions, including CDN (Content Delivery Network) services, caching configurations, and DDoS mitigation strategies
• Security Policy Development: Create and customize security policies for WAF to address specific application vulnerabilities and compliance requirements
• Incident Response: Monitor security events, analyze WAF logs, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate and mitigate security threats
• Performance Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize WAF and Akamai configurations to enhance security posture while minimizing impact on application performance
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including developers, network administrators, and security teams, to ensure the seamless integration of WAF and Akamai solutions
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for WAF and Akamai configurations, policies, and procedures
• Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to educate internal teams and clients on best practices for web security, WAF, and Akamai
• Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, and updates to WAF and Akamai technologies
• Provide recommendations for proactive security measures
