Job Description
- Evaluate patients with musculoskeletal conditions, to determine appropriate treatment options
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, which may include medication, physical therapy, and surgery
- Perform surgical procedures on the musculoskeletal system, such as joint replacement, spinal fusion, and fracture fixation
- Monitor patients during surgery to ensure safe administration of anesthesia and identify any adverse reactions or complications
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions
- Provide emergency care to patients who require urgent intervention, such as trauma victims or patients with acute medical conditions
- Document patient care and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, patient progress, and any adverse reactions or complications
