Consultant General Physician (MD/DNB)

The Consultant – General Physician will provide evidence-based, comprehensive medical care for adult patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role focuses on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of a wide range of medical conditions and chronic diseases, while collaborating with other specialties as required for optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Manage both acute and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, thyroid disorders, infectious diseases, etc.
• Provide inpatient care, including regular rounds, documentation, and treatment modifications as needed.
• Perform and supervise diagnostic procedures and interpret investigation results (e.g., ECG, X-ray, basic lab work).
• Handle medical emergencies and initiate stabilization protocols.
• Counsel patients on preventive healthcare, diet, and lifestyle modification.
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists when advanced care is needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and discharge summaries.
• Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and quality initiatives.
• If required, engage in hospital outreach programs, health camps, and patient education sessions.
