Construction Admin/Site MEP Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Resolve site coordination and design queries independently or in collaboration with design engineers.
• Liaise with Buro Happold MEP designers to resolve site design queries.
• Advise mechanical/electrical design engineers on technical aspects affecting construction progress, quality, and safety.
• Respond to design RFIs in coordination with design engineers.
• Review contractor work on site for adherence to quality requirements, shop drawings, and approved design specifications.
• Review contractors' installation methods, materials proposals, and shop drawings for compliance with design intent.
• Ensure engineering coordination between contractors and BH structural/MEP engineers.
• Undertake project site observations/inspections for electrical services work, checking compliance with specifications, schedule, and health & safety standards.
• Conduct off-site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as necessary.
• Review contractors' proposed MEP system testing and commissioning methods and witness final testing on-site.
• Prepare ongoing list of MEP services defects for contractor remedial actions.
• Attend project, site progress, and MEP technical meetings as directed by the site in-charge.
• Prepare draft site/engineer instructions relating to MEP services.
• Advise on MEP-related variation costs claimed by contractors.
• Review and comment on contractors' Operation and Maintenance manuals.
• Prepare and submit site visit reports monthly, as per contract.
• Participate in weekly site meetings with clients, PMC, and contractors.
