Computer Science & Engineering - Associate Professor

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching & Academics

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as:
• Data Structures & Algorithms
• Operating Systems
• Computer Networks
• Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
• Database Management Systems
• Web / Mobile Application Development
• Develop course materials, lesson plans, and lab manuals.
• Conduct examinations, evaluations, and academic assessments.
• Promote use of modern teaching tools (e.g., LMS, MOOCs, simulation tools).

2. Research & Publications

• Conduct original research and publish in reputed national and international journals.
• Supervise research scholars, M.Tech projects, and Ph.D. students.
• Apply for funded research projects (DST, AICTE, UGC, etc.).
• Present research at national/international conferences and workshops.

3. Mentorship & Guidance

• Mentor students academically and professionally.
• Support student participation in hackathons, coding competitions, and internships.
• Guide and review student projects and dissertations.

4. Curriculum & Departmental Development

• Participate in curriculum revision and syllabus alignment with industry trends.
• Lead development of new courses, electives, or certificate programs.
• Assist in accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA, NIRF, ABET) and quality audits.

5. Institutional Contribution

• Serve on academic and administrative committees (e.g., BoS, IQAC, Research Committee).
• Organize seminars, technical talks, workshops, FDPs, and industry collaboration programs.
• Foster industry linkages for guest lectures, internships, and placements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:
• Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent (as per AICTE/UGC norms)
• M.Tech/M.E. and B.Tech/B.E. in CSE or related field with first class
• Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of total teaching/research/industry experience (including 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor)
• Proven track record of publications, funded research, or patents

Skills & Competencies:

• Deep expertise in core and emerging areas of CSE (AI, IoT, Data Science, Cloud, Cybersecurity, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Research mindset with the ability to lead academic teams and projects
• Proficient in programming languages, tools, and technologies relevant to teaching and research
• Familiarity with academic management tools (LMS, ERP)
