Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • All the production of the food items in their section, following the recipe cards and quality specifications.
  • To requisition and make sure the section has adequate food stocks.
  • To make sure that the correct quantities are made with the correct items.
  • Assisting other chefs in the kitchen.
  • Commis chefs assist different station chefs (chef de partie) in the kitchen.
  • They help prepare ingredients and do any tasks the chef de partie needs assistance with.
  • Plan and coordinate the activities of the team to ensure operative effectiveness.
  • Follow guidelines laid by the Sous Chef on menu plan and design in consultation with the Sous Chef.
