Cohesity Backup Administration

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage Cohesity Backup solutions including configuration, agent installation, and backup policy setup.
• Perform Cohesity cluster setup, installation, upgrades, and ongoing administration.
• Troubleshoot backup failures and ensure successful backup and restore operations.
• Configure backup policies for Windows, Linux, SQL, Oracle, Exchange, and VM environments.
• Manage backup storage solutions including Nasuni or similar storage devices.
• Handle backup reporting, retention policies, and data consistency checks.
• Coordinate with vendors for backup and storage-related issues and upgrades.
• Support disaster recovery (DR) planning, setup, and execution.
• Manage backup reporting and automation of backup-related tasks.
• Administer storage systems including HP Nimble, Dell EMC PowerScale, ECS, UCS, etc.
• Perform storage configuration tasks such as LUN creation, allocation, deletion, and storage pool management.
• Monitor storage infrastructure using tools such as SolarWinds and other monitoring platforms.
• Perform RAID configuration, host connectivity checks, and firmware upgrades.
• Manage storage performance, capacity planning, and alert monitoring.
• Support storage and data migration between hosts and storage systems.
• Troubleshoot iSCSI storage networks and VMware hypervisor environments.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP for backup and storage integration.
• Maintain excellent documentation and reporting using advanced Excel skills.
