Cognos BI Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data models using IBM Cognos Analytics (10.x/11.x).
• Create Framework Manager models, define metadata layers, and ensure data integrity and security.
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
• Optimize report performance and ensure usability across various business units.
• Develop and maintain complex queries, calculations, and data visualizations.
• Perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting of BI solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers and DBAs to ensure reliable data sources and efficient ETL processes.
• Document technical specifications and provide user training and support as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Cognos BI Developer.
• Proficiency with Cognos Report Studio, Workspace, Query Studio, and Framework Manager.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases like DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL concepts.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
