Cloud Network/Ops Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN, VPN, and cloud network infrastructures using routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points
• Configure firewall policies, VPNs, and remote access protocols to secure the network
• Manage cloud networking services, including VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, S2S VPN, Internet Gateway, NAT GW, ELB, WAF, Network Firewall, Transit Gateway, and VPC Logs
• Monitor network performance and security using tools like DataDog and Splunk
• Identify and resolve network issues promptly, handling incidents and outages efficiently
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Maintain and configure wireless networks, including access points and controllers
• Document network configurations, processes, incidents, and performance reports
• Work with scripting languages (Python, Bash/Shell) and apply software development principles to network automation
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions (Terraform, CDK) or Configuration Management Systems (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack)
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support cloud platforms of global clients
